Florida Pre-Fab, Inc. Main Office – Tampa, FL

Our tradition of excellence was founded by Cuban architect Kenneth D. Levy, whom emigrated to Tampa in 1961. While working for a metal building dealership, Mr. Levy used his architectural engineering degree from Cuba to obtain his professional architectural license in 1968. In 1972, Florida Pre-Fab opened its doors with the concept of manufacturing high-quality metal buildings for the State of Florida as well as the export market. At first, the company designed the buildings and fabricated the structural steel while outsourcing the remaining components. By 1980, after shipping over 150 buildings to Argentina, the company was able to purchase equipment that enabled it to control its panel and secondary structural manufacturing operations and become a fully-integrated metal building manufacturer.

After Kenneth Levy retired in 1994, the company continued under the direction of his children. Today, George E. Levy (Ken Levy’s eldest son) is the President of the company, he is a Florida registered Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He has worked in the business since his High School years shortly after the company’s inception.

With extensive training, education and experience in the metal building industry, you are assured that the Florida Pre-Fab staff has extensive experience and technical knowledge in every aspect of metal building design, engineering and manufacturing processes. Our entire staff is dedicated to maintaining the tradition of quality products and service that has characterized Florida Pre-Fab for more than 40 years.
