Our tradition of excellence was founded by Cuban architect Kenneth D. Levy, whom emigrated to Tampa in 1961. While working for a metal building dealership, Mr. Levy used his architectural engineering degree from Cuba to obtain his professional architectural license in 1968. Florida Pre-Fab was opened in 1972 with the concept to manufacture quality metal buildings designed for Florida and the export market. At first, the company designed and fabricated the buildings by fabricating structural steel and outsourcing the remaining components from other vendors.
By 1980, after shipping over 150 buildings to Argentina, the company purchased equipment that enabled it to control its panel and secondary structural manufacturing operations and become a fully-integrated metal building manufacturer.
After Kenneth Levy retired in 1994, the company has been directed under the leadership George E. Levy, President and Alex K. Levy, Vice President. George Levy is a Florida registered P.E. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of South Florida in Tampa. They have worked in the business since their High School years shortly after the company's inception.
With extensive training, education and experience in the metal building industry, you are assured that the Florida Pre-Fab staff has the ability and technical knowledge in every aspect of metal building design, engineering and manufacturing processes. Moreover, our entire staff is dedicated to maintaining the tradition of quality products and service. |
